Class 30 – Baking

Rules & Terminology Used
1. Only ONE entry per exhibitor per section.
2. All baking must be displayed on paper plates, cardboard or foil plates and be put in a plastic bag.
3. Rolls are individual. Buns are joined together.
4. Light cake has whole eggs.
5. No frozen foods or mixes allowed.
6. All foods must be put in clear plastic coverings to show.
7. Bake Sale/Tea Tables. Any exhibitors in the Baking Section can donate their exhibits to the New Liskeard Fall Fair’s Bake Sale/Tea Tables that is held at the Riverside Place beginning Thursday at 5 p.m.
8. All items not sold in the Bake Sale/Tea Tables are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2016.
9. Entries can be brought to the Riverside Place on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. or Thursday between 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.
10. All entries must be prepared by the Exhibitor.


Breads

Prize Money (Sections 1 to 19): $6.00, $4.00. $3.00

1. Loaf of Bread – white, baked in loaf pan (shown out of pan)
2. Loaf of Bread – 60% whole wheat, baked in loaf pan (shown out of pan). NOTE: 60% whole wheat is eligible to be chosen to represent the New Liskeard Agricultural Society at the District Competition in October against 7 northern fairs. The winner of District 14 can go on to compete at the Ontario Association of Agrcultural Societies in February 2016. See complete rules on website.
3. Loaf of Bread – any other kind, hand formed
4. Loaf of Bread – raisin, baked in loaf pan (shown out of pan)
5. Loaf of Bread – made in a bread-making machine
